Shane is currently President of Subzero Engineering and Simplex. Over his 25 year career he has held a number of senior positions globally in the Industrial and IT space with the most recent position being Senior Vice President Global Sales and Marketing for Tripp Lite. Previously, he spent 11 years with Eaton, where he held various positions of increasing responsibility that ranges from sales, product management and general management, his most recent position was as the Managing Director of Africa. Shane holds a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Nelson Mandela University in South Africa and is currently pursuing post graduate studies in business management.
With a proven track record that spans over 20 years in Technology Sales, Marketing, Channel Leadership, Management and Distribution, Andy has a reputation for delivering results and business growth. His previous roles include Senior UK and European leadership positions at companies such as Lenovo and Iomega (EMC), all with a focus on developing sales, maintaining relationships and creating strategic alliances that maximise opportunities and growth within the Channel. Outside of work he is married and a father to a teenage son and enjoys sports, music and most of all cooking!
Aric brings to Subzero Engineering over 15 years of experience in leading every aspect of the operations value stream across various industries, markets, and locales. His passion is continuous improvement and people development, and he believes that Subzero’s greatest competitive advantage lies within its people and their commitment to the continual pursuit of excellence and to serving the customer. Born in Utah and now residing in Salt Lake City, Aric has also lived and worked in both Chicagoland and Montana and now considers himself 20% Chicagoan, 30% Montanan, and 50% Utahn. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his two sons, playing music, and fly fishing off the beaten path whenever possible.
Before hiring on to Subzero Engineering, Gary was the Founder / Owner / Operator of multiple businesses including Red Wolf Long Haul Trucking, TNG Automotive, and Utah Auto Spa. Gary has extensive background in the mechanical field; welding, fabrication, auto electronics and wiring. He utilizes this background to help sell products for Subzero. In his down time he enjoys hunting, fishing, reloading, 4-wheeling, and most of all... his family.
After spending a decade in the construction industry as a GC, Grant joined Subzero in 2017 as a project lead. It wasn’t long before moving into a Project Management role working out of the Subzero Dublin office. Grant has a passion for the industry and enjoys being part of the infrastructure design process. He uses his love for design and his wealth of product knowledge to provide our customers with cost saving data center infrastructure and containment solutions. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, snow sports and hikes with the pup.
Eli's background is in people leadership, operations management, and sales. He has spent 15+ years providing the best customer experience in the industry, winning multiple national customer satisfaction awards. Eli believes communication is the key to an outstanding business relationship. He has been active and competing in Taekwondo for the last 20yrs. His free time is spent with his wife and 2 young daughters (who are Disney fanatics!). You can usually find them hanging out in the backyard enjoying the weather.
Jim manages the North-East Territory and Federal Sales for Subzero. His experience spans Enterprise IT solutions to Data Center Infrastructure. He has spent his career working in the Federal space and the Washington DC area. He has held leadership positions in Sales and Management with Federal integrators to technology vendors; one highlight of his career was helping build a federal integrator from a small, five-person company to 100 employees and revenue of over $80M. Jim first represented Subzero as a partner for four years and later joined the company directly in 2016. Jim has completed large complex data center projects across many industries, including commercial, financial and government. Jim is a graduate of Loyola University in Maryland and when not working enjoys traveling, water sports in the summer and spending time with his wife, 5 grown children and extended family.
“People like to do business with people they like.” Huy has lived this mantra throughout his sales career. From selling hardware, periphery, and software at CDW to SaaS and then most recently colocation for the 3rd largest global data center REIT, he has used his passion for technology to understand his customers’ objectives and help them meet their IT needs. He immigrated from Vietnam to Seymour, IN (John Cougar Mellencamp!), and now currently resides in downtown Chicago and considers himself a Midwesterner. When he’s not talking about data centers and containment, you can most likely find him on the golf course, squash court, tennis court, or out and about with his family and friends.
My first career was in graphic design, drafting and CAD design. I studied business administration and marketing at University of Phoenix and then began my career in data center sales with Eaton/Wrightline selling into the white space selling infrastructure from racks to power and UPS. I brought CAD to fruition and invented several products and product enhancements during my 20yr tenure. I have owned my own business developing and selling data center related products. I worked for Subzero in the past and am excited to be back in the Northwest territory and supporting Microsoft worldwide. I have two grown daughters and my wife of 32 years. I enjoy the outdoors, camping, hunting, fishing and building projects. My wife refers to me as Tim the Toolman.
With multiple childhood moves, attending 4 High Schools between 3 states (not military), Nick has spent his whole life getting to meet and know interesting individuals. His first sales role started in 2010 with Disney Vacation Club (Proud Member, Welcome Home) as an Advanced Sales Associate teaching people from all over the world how to save money on their inevitable future trips to Disney World! In 2013 he moved to Chicago after meeting his future wife, mother of 2 handsome boys, and began his career with WESCO Distribution. His career with WESCO started in Business Development on the A side. However, he eventually worked his way into the C (Communication Supply Corporation, a subsidiary of WESCO) side of the business doing Tele-Sales, Team Lead of Tele-Sales, Inside Sales (Local Chicago), and eventually moving to Outside End-User sales in 2019. Working with many manufacturers let Nick know he eventually wanted to move into that side of the business. “When presented the opportunity to work with Subzero Engineering, which helps data centers lower their PUE allowing them to lower their environmental impact, it just made sense.” – Nick Hensley

With years of experience in the custom architectural design industry, Peter's start at Subzero began with drafting and 3D modeling. He then began taking on developing standard Design & B.I.M. practices and leading the engineering group before taking on the role of Data Center Solutions Manager for the South-West. His early and formal education focused on learning how to think outside the box, Peter is always focused on finding the best solutions. His passion for mountaineering has taught him the importance of planning, teamwork, and goal setting.
Chris has an educational background in Construction Management as well as Architectural Engineering and began his career as a Construction Administrator for one of the top consulting firms in the architectural, engineering, and surveying industry. While in graduate school he developed an interest in business development and soon moved into sales where he has spent the bulk of his career in the medical and construction industry. Chris believes that God gave him two ears and one mouth for a reason. He strives to truly hear what the customer’s needs are so that he can deliver the best possible solution to meet those needs. When he’s not working, Chris and his wife love traveling, music, hiking, lazing days at the beach and all things “true crime!
Craig is still enjoying the constant change of the IT & Data Centre industry, learning, and challenging himself after 18+ years. Craig is a result-oriented sales professional adapt at B2B or B2C strategies, channel eco-system's, solution, and consultative selling. His previous roles include APC, Eaton and Geist where he’s built a reputation for delivering products & solutions to the client’s expectations. Speaking a second language enabled him to live and work overseas giving him a unique understanding of people, markets and cultures that have enhancing his communication and relationship building skills. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family playing sports and been in the outdoors.
Gordon Johnson is the Senior CFD Engineer at Subzero Engineering, and is responsible for planning and managing all CFD related jobs in the U.S. and worldwide. He has over 25 years of experience in the data center industry which includes data center energy efficiency assessments, CFD modeling, and disaster recovery. He is a certified U.S. Department of Energy Data Center Energy Practitioner (DCEP), a certified Data Centre Design Professional (CDCDP), and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology. Gordon also brings his knowledge and ability to teach the fundamentals of data center energy efficiency to numerous public speaking events annually.
As Staff Accountant, Ricardo deals with all accounting tasks in our Ireland office. Ricardo has a background in both personal and commercial accounts and tax. He also looks after many aspects of Human Resources and Administration. Away from work he enjoys spending time outdoors and with friends and family.

Founded in 2005 by Larry Mainers and Vince Lake, Subzero started out as a data center airflow consulting company utilizing CFD studies to provide layout and design recommendations. The next decade would see them develop and release numerous industry changing products that would define how data center containment could and would be done. All products have been built to scale inside of SolidWorks, which allows for quick turnaround on mechanical drawings. A typical proposal and drawing set can be provided in as little as 24 hours, and never more than 72.
