We invented the Cube

Larger cubes can be used to create a subfloor wall or baffle.

The SubZero Cube Cable Cutout Cover is the most efficient way to fill in openings in your raised floor. The cube comes in several standard sizes that will cover most any opening required. It also can be ordered for custom sizes. The cube is made of a fireproof material. Installation is easy. Simply compress or squeeze the cube, place into opening and release. The cube will instantly fill in all around the raised floor opening (top, bottom, and side). The cube is specifically engineered with a 5-1/2 inch depth so as to fully separate subfloor and ambient air.

Raised Floor Cable Cut-Out Cover

With a subfloor air delivery system, conditioned air is delivered to the inlet of the computer equipment through the raised floor plenum. A cutout in the raised floor for power or data cables allows air generated by the cooling unit(s) to bypass the inlet of the computer equipment. The amount of conditioned air generated by the cooling unit that bypasses the computer equipment through cable cutouts can be significant and a tremendous improvement in efficiency is achieved when the cable cutout is blocked by the use of a sealing grommet or pillow. Careful sealing of other raised floor openings and holes in perimeter walls is also important to maintain good cooling efficiency.

The Subzero Cube can be used to fill in gaps between racks and partition systems.

Made of Sandel
The Fire Fighting Fabric

SubZero velocity cubes are made of ‘Sandel’. Sandel is called ‘the fire fighting fabric’. Sandel is an intrinsically non-flammable material, created to stop fire from spreading. Sandel will not ignite or burn. Sandel will not melt, drip, rot, or shrink. The principal ingredient in Sandel is silica or sand.
