Isolated Equipment
A common problem is supplying cold air to equipment that is not in a rack row or aisle. Supply air located in front of isolated equipment for the most part only cools the room’s ambient air. As a result the AC supply temperature is set considerably colder then necessary so as to meet the manufacturer’s recommended supply temperature. The Subzero Engineering Polar Panel™ contains the supply air to the equipment intake only. This ensures an intake temperature at the supply set point, which allows facility AC set points to be maintained at a higher temperature. The Polar Panel can be used to contain either cold supply or direct away hot exhaust air. The perfect solution for isolated equipment or IT equipment that is not in a dedicated hot/cold aisle configuration. The Polar Panel™ Isolated Equipment Containment
Available in sizes up to 6 feet wide! Without the Polar Panel™ containment system cold supply air only reaches up to 1/3 of the compute intake.
The Polar Panel Isolated Equipment System can also be used as a 'Snorkle" to redirect the return air from off the floor. The difference in the return air temperature will increase the AC cooling capacity.
